Nextdoor
Spring is here and April is Earth Month. It is that time of year when people are starting to clean out their homes and come back outside after the long winter. It is also the perfect time to raise awareness in your community for ways to live a more environmentally friendly lifestyle. One way to do this is by sharing with your neighbors. Nextdoor is the free and private social network for your neighborhood. On Nextdoor, neighbors create private websites for their neighborhoods where they can ask questions, get to know one another, and exchange local advice and recommendations.
Other survey results include:
• Top 10 things people are willing to share with neighbors: food (78%), tools (71%), yard equipment (64%), a bike (36%), clothing (26%), shelter (26%), electronics (24%), kid toys (24%), childcare/babysitters (24%), a vehicle (15%).
• Reduce and reuse: 64% of Americans would be more likely to buy/sell an item if the buyer/seller lived close to their home.
• Garage sales: 52% of Americans would be more likely to host a garage sale in spring if they had an easy way to get the word out to their neighbors.
Nextdoor is the easiest way to connect with neighbors to organize neighborhood events, sell or give away items, find trustworthy local resources, report suspicious activity and reduce waste this spring.
Over 32,000 neighborhoods across the country are using Nextdoor. According to a recent survey from Nextdoor, 9 out of 10 people are comfortable sharing with their neighbors but do not have an easy way to coordinate.

GE reveal Bulbs
GE’s reveal brand is different than other bulbs on store shelves today. Unlike other lighting technologies, this bulb removes the yellowish haze from typical light sources, revealing finishes and furnishings in a way that traditional lighting cannot. Making reds appear redder and whites appear whiter, this color enhanced light spectrum filters out the yellow rays compared to traditional lighting.
Available at any Target store, GE reveal LED bulbs use 80 percent less energy than traditional incandescent bulbs, saving you money on your monthly energy bill. In addition, GE’s energy-efficient reveal bulbs will save you 28% in energy costs compared to traditional incandescent bulbs.
From general purpose to specialty, and floodlights to decorative, GE reveal® has an entire family of light bulbs for most applications throughout your home.
